Our seven member park districts
We are an extension of six member park districts and one Village parks and recreation department in Maine and Niles Townships. These member districts include:

- Golf Maine Park District
- Morton Grove Park District
- Niles Park District
- Park Ridge Park District
- Skokie Park District
- Village of Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation
M-NASR provides and facilitates year-round recreation programs and services for children and adults with disabilities who live in the member-district communities.
M-NASR serves over 1,000 registrants annually
Our agency was formed in 1972 as the second “special recreation” association in the state of Illinois and among one of the first of its kind in the country. M-NASR currently serves over 1,300 registrants each year offering nearly 600 programs. Participants include adults and children with mental, physical, emotional or other disabilities, visual impairments and behavior disorders. Members of our recreation staff try to meet with clients prior to registering for programs so that their needs can be evaluated and they can register for the most appropriate programs.
